Optimel has been in existence for 34 years having commenced with importation of the Jean Bourget brand in 1976. It now also imports the Zannier Group brands 3 pommes, Catimini, Chipie, Confetti and Kenzo. It has also commenced selling Italian children’s wear brand, Replay & Sons. As well, it imports from France Bill Tornade, Buggy and Chipie shoes for children, from Sweden Nowa Li moccasins, tights and socks and from Portugal Laranjinha infants’ underwear, bodysuits, rompersuits and elegant classic outerwear.
Since Optimel’s inception, Francoise Levinson has taken a leading role in sales for all brands, these being shown twice a year in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide, with clients from Brisbane, Auckland and further afield visiting us in one or more of those cities. She is assisted in this work by two Marketing and Sales Assistants.
For each season, Optimel places advertisements in Studio Bambini for many of its fashion brands – and has advertised Laranjinha in maternity-oriented publications.
Francoise Levinson visits twice yearly maufacturers’ showrooms in Paris as well as the Pitti Immagine Bimbo salon in Florence in order to make and maintain contact with manufacturers and attend, when possible, their launching of new seasons’ collections.
